In order to assure Unity Platform functionality, the following infrastructure requirements should be fulfilled:
Account with administrative privileges on the Web Server should be provided if SSL or LB/HA is necessary to be configured.
Account with administrative privileges on the Application Server should be provided.
Account with administrative privileges on the Database Server to install MySQL Server or accessible MySQL Server and account credentials with full rights should be provided. Alternatively, a clean database and a user with full rights to it on an existing MySQL Server instance may be provided by DB administrator.
If Active Directory is used for authentication, Active Directory domain should be deployed and account credentials with Domain Administrator privileges should be provided. The same AD will be used to join provisioned Windows VMs. Also, Trust Relationship is supported to integrate authentication in customers AD.
Accessible Mail server and account credentials with privileges to send mail should be provided. If Mail server connection settings are not configured, new application users cannot be created.
Accessible SMB storage and account credentials with Read and Write privileges should be provided. Alternatively, a local SMB storage will be configured using the installer.
vSphere 5.1/5.5/6.0 or OpenStack and account credentials with administrative privileges.
For vSphere, if environments isolation will be used:
- vShield Manager and account credentials with administrative privileges;
- Existing hosts cluster with configured DRS;
- Configured VXLAN networking and VDS. VDS requires vSphere Enterprise Plus license.
